Terms Of Reference

Purpose

We work together to champion the vital role our sector does and could play in the future of Health and Care across Cheshire and Merseyside.

Membership

The Leaders Group was established in 2019 with a view to supporting sector engagement across the Cheshire and Merseyside footprint. Working alongside Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership, the group is made up of representatives from across 9 Place-based areas in the Liverpool City Region, Cheshire and Warrington, and includes VCFSE[1] providers, local VCFSE infrastructure organisations, and VCFSE networks of identity and experience (including older people, young people, and carers).

 About the VCFSE sector across Cheshire and Merseyside

The sector includes:

•      14,000 VCFSE plus groups operating in C&M

•      33,000 FTE staff

•      275,000 volunteers

•      279,890 informal carers
